Jimmy and Elaine O’Brien met with Magnus out of sheer frustration with their existing advisers. Primarily two issues existed. The first was communication. Calls went unreturned or were returned days later. But more importantly the O’Briens were looking to purchase a multi-hectare property to further their business objectives and enhance their family life. They needed advice that would encompass the multiple issues that this created. This advice was not forthcoming from their incumbent adviser.
After meeting with Magnus the following issues were identified:
- Asset protection
- Land tax considerations
- Tax effectiveness
- Efficient funding
- Business planning
Further discussions identified the form of structuring that would resolve the above issues in the best way possible.
Subsequent to that Magnus has helped with processing systems improvement, establishing a cash forecast system and helping the business move to best practice.
