Aim of the grant: To increase core skills and adopt best practices of small businesses in Southeast Queensland and Regional Queensland
Business eligibility:
- Located in Southeast Queensland or a Queensland Regional Area
- Fewer than 20 employees
- With active ABN
- Registered for GST
- Not been approved for funding under round 1 or round 2 of the Business Basics Grants Program
- Directors or owners are not insolvent or an undischarged bankrupt
- Expected turnover of $300,000 or less for the current financial year
Eligible Activities:
1. Training and coaching
- Business development, marketing, human resources, and busines planning, Topics
- Training or coaching up to 4 months in duration
2. Website build or upgrades
- Website build or upgrade (including website refresh)
- Adding e-commerce
- Developing new website content
3. Professional business advice
- Business Plans
4. Strategic marketing services
- Strategic marketing plans including search engine optimisation advice
5. Business continuity and succession
- Business continuity and succession plans
- Cybersafety training and tools
Ineligible activities:
1. Activities bought using cryptocurrencies, barter, or services in-kind
2. General business operating costs (e.g., bookkeeping or accounting, tax returns)
3. Real estate/property, hire, lease, or rental fees
4. Goods, services, or fees from related parties (include companies with common shareholdings or directors, employees, or immediate family)
5. Travel
6. Franchise fees
7. Purchase of stock
8. GST, registration, and fees
9. Maintenance of existing digital technologies
10. Computer hardware (e.g., computer servers, PCs, tablets/iPads, mobile phones)
11. Other hardware/devices/equipment (e.g., televisions, EFTPOS, card and chip readers)
12. Activities purchased through direct selling (e.g., by party plan or network marketing)
13. Delivery, credit card, and transaction fees
14. Memberships and joining fees
15. Salaries
16. Gleet vehicles
17. Website hosting
18. Implementation of marketing tactics such as advertising, direct marketing (e.g., telemarketing), or campaign delivery (e.g., Google AdWords, Facebook advertising, or similar expenses).

3. Ensure your Australian Business Register profile for your business is up to date (Check ABN Status, GST Status, and main business location)
4. Choose your suppliers (Click on this link for more info)
5. a. Have a signed and witnessed statutory declaration from the business owner or director stating that the business meets the eligibility criteria in Step 1, and
b. Supplier quotes (no more than 2), dated after 13 Apr 2022, detailing description and costs of services, who will undertake the activity, and outline key activities. (Please upload 1 quote per supplier)

Please note: You should not have been approved for funding under Round 1 or 2 of the Business Basics Grants Program for you to be eligible for the Business Basic Grants Program (Round3).
